Madrid, February 16, 2009.-a total of 15 marks national franchisers will accompany to the Spanish Association of franchisors (AEF) to the international fair of franchises of Mexico (FIF), from 5 to 7 March in the center of conventions and exhibitions of the World Trade Center of city of Mexico. The Association will attend the exhibition, in collaboration with the Spanish Institute of foreign trade (ICEX), a group participation of 285 square meters, consisting of 15 companies: Imaginarium, Pressto, Tormo & Asociados, Educa-System, Creditaria, CreditServices, Inverpoint, Bodyplus, Kidsway, Adolfo Dominguez, Almeida travel, Reformahogar, services in my city, the barrel of tapas and KA International. Five years ago we didn’t have such a large number of exhibitors, and 12 years have been attending continuously to this appointment, says Eduardo Abadia, Manager of the AEF. In the view of Abbey, there are two factors favouring the high presence of Spanish flags in the Mexican fair: on the one hand, that the national market is affected by the crisis and there is a drop of consumption and, on the other, that is also very saturated for the expansion of some franchises, so these are seeking alternative markets. Within the days that will form part of this international gathering of franchises, welcomes in the Convention Center the first 2009 meeting of the Iberoamerican franchise Federation (FIAF), where are the representatives of the Member countries: Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, Portugal and Spain. And also employees of the entity: Expofranquicia, SIF & Co., ABF Franchising Expo, MFV Mexico, specialised exhibitions, S.A., Trinidade Barros Advogados, magazine franchises and businesses in the city of Mexico and Tormo & Asociados. On the other hand, the AEF has been invited to the press conference of presentation of the fair before the media, which will be held on March 4, a day before the start and, on day 5, Eduardo Abadia will participate in the official inauguration of the salon.
One more Edition, the AEF bet by this international fair as an opportunity for expansion for Spanish brands after years of positive results in terms of contacts and international positioning. Mexico is one of the most important fairs that are held in Latin America and the employer’s trust in the organization that is behind it, as well as the good reception that there have the flags of our country. On the Spanish Association of franchisors the Spanish Association of franchisors (AEF) was founded 15 years ago and is currently composed of nearly 200 partners, whose turnover represents 66% of the volume of business generated by the franchise system in Spain. The AEF objectives are the represent and protect the interests of the franchise in our country, as well as make interlocutor before the Administration and make it known in other markets, to through its presence in various fairs of international franchises.
